Today we looked at different groupings of stamps. We used a variety of strategies to figure out how much each stamp set was worth.
We determined that repeated addition on its own could take a very long time to do, and it wasn't very efficient. Instead, students began to group the stamp values together before using repeated addition.
Try making your own set of stamps at home and calculating how much they would be worth. Try to figure out how much a group of 8 stamps would cost if each stamp was worth 3 cents.
